Tungsten and LED on the corridor build

Same corridor, same camera, same exposure. The tungsten pass still held the set together better at scale.

Lighting test

Same corridor set. Same camera position. Same exposure. I shot one pass with my 1kW tungsten Fresnel and one pass with a high-CRI LED panel (96 CRI, bicolor).

What changed

The tungsten pass had depth. Real, physical depth. The falloff from key to shadow was smooth and continuous. The specular highlights on the corridor walls had shape - they wrapped and faded naturally.

The LED pass was flat. Not bad. Not ugly. Just... flat. The shadows were clean but they didn't have that same gradual roll-off. The highlights were sharp but lacked the organic spread.

Why I'm keeping tungsten as key

At this scale, small differences in highlight shape and shadow rolloff show up quickly. The LED still has a place for fill or situations where heat is a problem, but the tungsten fixture is still the key light for this build.
